About Davitt Photography

Davitt Photography was established in 2006 to supply images to some of the leading photographic stock agencies in the world, notably AWL-Images, AgeFotostock, Pixtal and Getty.

Cahir Davitt is an Irish photographer based in Dublin, Ireland, specialising in architectural, travel and landscape photography. Trained as an architect, Cahir applies his architectural knowledge to shoot precise and impactful images. His eye for architectural form provides a clear and uncluttered style to his images.
He has traveled extensively throughout the world visiting just over 55 countries and has photographed widely.

Over the past twelve years Davitt Photography has built up its client base and we are now commissioned by architects, engineers, construction companies, property developers, auctioneers and tour operators for photography services.

In addition to commercial work for various architectural practices, Tourism Ireland, Dublin Tourism and others, his pictures have been published in magazines, books and news media including National Geographic Traveller, Sunday Times Travel Magazine Fodor's, Lonely Planet, Rough Guides, Die Welt and the Irish Times, to name a few.

Equipment
The image quality of the final photograph is of paramount importance. This quality is achieved through the use of high-end professional Canon Eos digital equipment, comprising a 5D Mark II body, coupled with a combination of EF 17mm TS-e tilt and shift lens, EF 24mm TS-e tilt and shift lens, EF 17-40mm wide angle lens, EF 24-105mm IS lens, EF 100-400mm lens, 100mm macro lens and an MP65 Macro lens. These professional quality lenses combined with the 21-megapixel camera body, allow an image quality to be obtained at the very highest level and satisfies all the specific demands and requirements of an architectural, landscape and travel photographer.

Images are typically supplied as digital files in 300dpi Tiff, 300dpi Jpg & 72dpi Jpg formats.
